- If your loved one home has air conditioning, make sure that it is on a comfortable temperature, especially during the hotter parts of the day. If their home does not have air conditioning, go to a movie together or go to the senior center where you can take advantage of the air conditioning.
- 3. Have Plenty of Sun Protection
- If you do decide to go outside on a hot day, make sure that your loved one is wearing lighter clothing, and has plenty of sunblock on. Sunglasses and hats are a necessity whenever you are outside and stay in the shade whenever you can.

- It is important that you continue to exercise with your loved one, even when it is hotter. Go out for a walk during the early morning or the evenings when the weather tends to be cooler. If it is too hot even during these times, go to the mall to walk around and get some exercise where it is air conditioned.

- A nice cool bath shower or bath can be especially relaxing when it is hot outside. It will keep your loved one’s body temperature lower and they will stay comfortable, especially when it is hotter outside.

- If it works with your loved one’s diet, enjoy an icy treat together. Popsicles and ice cream are delightful when it’s warmer. You could even have some additional fun by making homemade popsicles together.
